When the fall season is upon us, the shorter days creep in, and the temperatures drop. How do you let go of those long, sunny summer days? These cozy fall decorating ideas will allow you to embrace this beautiful season, and you can start to enjoy autumn.
If you take these few tips and incorporate small changes into your home decor, you will appreciate the season you’re in. It can change the overall feel of your home, and, well, if you are like me, I love change, and it gives me an excuse to buy something new!
if I could pick one seasonal transition to be my favorite, it would be summer to fall. I love summer, and everything it offers us, but the coziness of fall makes my heart beat just a little bit faster.

1. Warm up your color pallet
Adding warmer tones to your color pallet will bring your home cozy vibes. Neutral colors like brown, taupe, and dark greens and brighter, warmer colors like red and orange are all ways to warm your color palette. Think about the colors you see outdoors in the fall and bring them inside.
2. Use natural elements
Use natural elements, like wood, in your decor any season, but bringing in some brownish tones certainly helps bring in the look of fall. This wooden chain link was a recent purchase. It brings texture and warmth to our entryway. It was an Amazon find, giving the space a designer look for less.
Pretty wooden bowls will always be a favorite, as you can fill them with seasonal decor. Last year, I filled this with pumpkins, and well, here it is again! When you enjoy a fall decorating idea, you can continue to use it over and over again!

If you have not started using changeable prints in your decor, you should try them. When decorating for fall, it is an inexpensive and straightforward way to change your home for the season. Find Fall Stems
I found these beautiful blueberry stems last year, and I enjoyed them through summer and now into fall. I use them in different vignettes each season.
Cozy pillows and throws
Every morning, I sit in our living room and throw a blanket over me as I sip my morning coffee. It is my quiet time, and when fall season comes, I want to pull out the soft and cozy blankets for this season. I have all the pillow inserts I need, so I swap out the pillow covers with my latest find or use something I have from the past.
Bring the fall outdoors in
Who says outdoor flowers and stems can’t come indoors? What a great way to bring a burst of color to your fall decor. Mums are great plants you can also use indoors, or dried oak leaves, as you see on my coffee table. Bring in the outdoors this fall if you have a place in your home that you want to spruce up with color.
