Popular Green Paint Colors
1. Salamander 2050-10
Salamander is a stunning shade of dark green that has hints of black and blue. Its deep and rich green hue is best used in natural lighting. It is not recommended that you use this color in a low-light room as the color may come off black.
It is gorgeous as an accent wall or if you want to create a moody atmosphere in a bright bedroom or bathroom. As an exterior paint color, you can consider this color for both siding and trim.
2. Oil Cloth CSP-760
Oil Cloth is such a pretty muted green that is calm and relaxing. This sophisticated paint color is great for kitchen cabinets, bathrooms, and bedrooms. This is one of my favorites!
Depending on the light, this color appears more green-gray due to its gray undertones. It is an excellent color for accent walls, such as board and batten or shiplap, and it complements most neutral paint colors.
3. Soft Fern 2144-40
Soft fern is a pale green, perfect for bathrooms and bedrooms. It has a gray undertone, which tones down what would be a brighter green. They used Soft Fern on the top half of the wall with picture molding, which creates a nice contrast.
I think this color is perfect for any type of home if you are looking for a softened green.
4. Guilford Green HC-116
Guilford Green has a warm yellow undertone. It was the 2015 color of the year, and it is still listed among their best-selling colors today. Personally, I find this color a little too yellow and warm for my taste, but it does fit the mix for some!
5. October Mist CC-550
If you are looking for the perfect color of Sage, October Mist could be it! I love how this paint color looks in the kitchen images below. It has a warm undertone in the light to medium range of colors. Its gray mix tones down the paint to a lovely shade.
6. Caldwell Green HC-124
Caldwell Green is a color that closely resembles hunter green but with blue undertones. This shade is a part of Benjamin Moore’s historical collection, which gives a historical look to your space. It looks great with black accents, as seen in both images below.
If you’re looking to experiment with new color options, Caldwell Green is a beautiful green to try!

Have you ever thought about adding a pretty green color to your home? Do any of these colors reside with you? Which one would you pick? Leave a comment and let me know!
We have sage green in the kitchen and love it, due for a refresh but plan on going with the same only slightly different tone. The dining room and living room are brandon beige which again is a muted green with brown undertones, and the bedroom is more on the guilford green tone…..all very calming and no regrets.
Sounds beautiful, Diana! I love sage green! Funny thing…when Roger saw my newsletter title, he said what are you painting green? He sounded a little concerned, lol. I am considering the cabinets in our laundry room or maybe our guest room. After he knew that, he thought that might be nice 😉
