After taste-testing many different brands & flavors of dairy-free protein powders, I am pleased to share my new dairy-free smoothie recipe. This is quick, simple, delicious, and fills you up for your day’s first meal.
Preferred Brands
Two preferred brands of almond milk are Califia Farms Almond Milk and Silk Unsweetened Almond Milk. Both are great products, and there is no particular favorite. You can also use dairy milk in this smoothie or water.
Adding Collagen to your smoothie is a personal choice and not required. It is flavorless and has excellent health benefits. My current brand is Organika Original Enhanced Collagen. It has a clean, single-ingredient formula with excellent benefits. Collagen supports skin rejuvenation, hydration, and texture, promotes the growth of hair and nails, and it helps maintain healthy joints. It is non-GMO and Gluten-free.
Profi Complete Plant-Based Protein will become one of your favorite things. PROFI protein powder tastes great and is non-GMO, dairy, soy, gluten & nut-free! It is low in calories, and each serving contains 20g of protein and all nine essential amino acids your body needs. It also comes in chocolate and a few other flavors.
For berries, try to choose organically frozen if local berries are not in season. Favorites for this mixed berry protein smoothie recipe are blueberries and strawberries. Bananas or frozen avocados are adders that make the smoothie thicker or have a different flavor.
Flaxseed contains a wealth of omega-3 fatty acids, which adds healthy oil to your smoothie.
A Simple Mixed Berry Protein Smoothie Recipe
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. We invested in a Ninja Blender System a few years ago since I make smoothies almost daily.

Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh or frozen organic blueberries
- 1 cup fresh or frozen organic strawberries
- 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1 scoop Profi Protein vanilla
- 1 tbsp Organika Enhanced Collagen optional
- 1 tsp flaxseed powder
- 1/2 cup fresh or frozen banana
Instructions
- Add ice if using fresh berries to thicken the smoothie. Ice is not a requirement with frozen berries.
- Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
