Rustic Coffee Table Base
We first followed the instructions to make the base. This took about 15 minutes.
Rustic Coffee Table Top
To craft the tabletop, he opted for sturdy 2×6 spruce boards. Once they were cut and securely fastened, we explored various staining options and ultimately settled on a blend of Minwax Dark Walnut Stain and Watco Danish Oil Dark Walnut.
To protect our carpet, we opted for felt furniture pads for this table. It has proven to be incredibly durable and low maintenance. Despite spills, the rustic boards remain stain-free and can withstand marks with ease. Simply wiping it down with a damp cloth is all it takes to keep it looking great.
DIY Rustic End Table
We successfully created the end table by following Nick and Alicia’s plan, which can be accessed here. We made some slight alterations to the design while maintaining the crossbar, as shown in the image below.
This table will fit a few decorating styles; therefore, if you like natural wood and a rustic look, this DIY project is an easy & affordable option.
